On Hold???
Yeah, there are mainly 3 reasons on why Adsense displays or displaying Payment On Hold in RED in your account.
Until you don’t clear of the verifications asked by Adsense, On Hold will not be removed from your account. The On Hold appears when you reach your balance crosses verification threshold.
This is what is displayed on your Adsense “Your payments are currently on hold. Action is required to release payment. More details.”
Under your Payment balance you see “ON HOLD” in RED.
What does these all mean to you??
You can click on the More details and find it out that there are 3 things you may need to do mainly to remove the “On Hold” for your payments to be processed.
Reasons on why “On Hold”:
1. Enter PIN Verification – When you reach your verification threshold, a PIN mailer will be sent to your address in record with Adsense. You are supposed to type in the PIN in your Adsense account. The post will take from 2 weeks to 4 weeks to arrive to your home address. You can read the PIN verification process in detail on the Google help on PIN verification for Adsense. You get 3 chances to verify your address for Adsense. If you don’t receive the PIN mailer for the 3rd time as well, then there would be an alternate instruction to do so in your Adsense account.
2. Submit Tax Information – This is the second most important thing to be submitted to Adsense. If you are from U.S, you need to submit all the tax details like TIN and SSN. If you are not from U.S then you need to agree to their Tax verification by entering your full name on Adsense Tax verification.
3. Submit Payment method – This is important as well. If you do not select the payment method on Adsense, then again your payment will be on hold. Some countries offer cheques to be sent in their local currency as well. You can select from the drop-down box.
If you have completed all the above verification methods, On Hold from your account will be lifted. If still the “Payment on hold” is not removed from your Adsense account, then it there may be other reasons like:
> Address not updated correctly
> Policy violation
> Some other details required by Google.
