Google Adsense is the faith of revenue to many bloggers and webmasters. It is very important that we safe guard our Adsense account. These days Google is making difficult to get approved to Adsense program. If you are part of Adsense program already, you may soon come across the PIN verification, which is as difficult as getting into Adsense.
What is PIN verification?
PIN verification is a mandatory process which needs to be undergone by the Adsense publishers to verify the real address of the Adsense account holder.
In the process, a PIN mailer(Post card) is sent to the address mentioned in your Adsense account.
The PIN mailer has the secret code which needs to be entered in your Adsense account upon receiving.
Note that, PIN verification is performed by Google for security reasons so that the right person gets the payments.
When PIN verification starts?
PIN address verification starts when you reach the PIN verification threshold. Different currency has different PIN verification threshold.
Generally it is $10. When you reach this in your Adsense account. You should see the start of PIN verification in your account.
You will also see a RED alert on your Adsense account homepage as:
“Your payments are currently on hold. Action is required to release payment. More details.“
What if I don’t receive the PIN mailer?
After a month of the first PIN mailer request, you should see “Request for PIN” in your account again.
Under the red alert, click on “More details” to see the “Request for PIN” at the bottom. If you still don’t see, please wait till you see one.
You can request up to 3 times.
Warning: Please don’t enter wrong PINs if you have not received one. After consecutive entry of 3 wrong PINs, your account would be suspended.
When will I receive my PIN mailer?
After the request of the PIN, it takes 3-5 days to mail your PIN mailer from Google office. It takes about 2 to 4 weeks for your PIN mailer to reach your home address. Remember that, it can take more than 2 months and depends on the local postal services.
What does the PIN mailer look like?
It is a normal post card measuring 11.4 x 15.2 cm.

That is the front side of the PIN mailer which has a big Google logo in it.
At the back side, it has the address from which it came and your address. It also has “Important account information enclosed” written at the back.

What does the 3 PIN mailer contain?
Initially, I was confused that the 3 PIN requests would have 3 different PINs. But, later I came to know that all the 3 PIN mailers would have the same PIN in them.
How my account looks like till I receive my PIN?
a) You will get a red alert that “Your payments are currently on hold. Action is required to release payment. More details.” in the home page.
b) When you click “More Details”, you would see an X mark next to your earned money with the text “Your payments are on hold. No payments will be issued.”
What if I don’t receive my PIN after 3 attempts?
After the 3rd request, you would see a message similar to the one given here:
“If you don’t receive the PIN after 4 weeks, Please submit a digital copy of any valid Government ID, Telephone bill with your name and address as given in the pay, driving license, or recent one month bank statement by following the contact form “
You can submit any one of those.
You can attach the proofs in the contact form above. Google would get back to you with an email and your account will be free from hold.
What is the time span for the PIN verification process?
It is 6 months from the date of first PIN generation. After this time, your account will stop displaying ads.
How to request a new PIN?
1. Log in to your Adsense account.
2. On the Home tab, visit the Account settings page.
3. Click on “Verify address” link.
4. At the bottom of the page, you should see “Request new PIN” button.
