Certification Of No U.S. Activities | Adsense Tips

Adsense always ask us to verify whether you are a U.S citizen or not. Certification of No U.S Activities is a method of verification by Google Adsense for Tax information.

If you are not from U.S.A, then Adsense provides us with a “Certification of No U.S Activities” to confirm that you are not a U.S citizen or you are not doing any business in U.S.

“None of your work should be related to U.S to earn through Adsense”

If you are from U.S, then you need to submit your TAX information to Google Adsense. Your TIN or/and SSN may be required by Adsense.
Under your Adsense account, once you reach your verification threshold, you get a popup on top to verify your TAX information to remove the Adsense Payment “ON HOLD” on your account.

Time limit for submitting your Tax information– There are no time limit as of now to be placed on your account, but until you don’t submit the “No U.S Activities certificate”, you won’t be entitled to en-cash the money from Adsense.

This is what you see on your Adsense account:

“Publisher represents and warrants that it does not have any employees or equipment located in the United States (“US Activities”) that are involved in any way with the revenue that has been or will be earned by Publisher pursuant to the Google AdSense Online Program. US Activities include, but are not limited to, owning a web server or owning a hosting service in the US, or having employees in the US who are involved in either:
1. setting up Publisher’s web server, hosting service or website
2. developing content for Publisher’s website
3. marketing to create a user base for Publisher’s site
4. telephone support for Publisher’s site
5. buying products for Publisher’s site
6. maintaining Publisher’s site”

How to submit “Certification of No U.S. Activities” on Adsense account????
ANSWER:
Click on the “Submit Tax Information“
You will be asked 3 sets of questions on whether you are a U.S citizen, whether you do any business from U.S and so on. Click on “No” for all the questions. (If you have any business operating from U.S like owning a web server hosted in U.S by you, then this is not the method)
In the next screen, “TYPE YOUR FULL NAME AS GIVEN IN ADSENSE ACCOUNT” and click on SUBMIT.

Remember that your IP address, Time and Date will be recorded by Google Adsense when you are submitting your Information!!!

Next SCREEN:
Once you have submitted, you get the “THANK YOU” screen. and it also says “Tax Hold on your account has been removed”

To Update TAX INFORMATION LATER:
If you would like to update the Tax information on Adsense, then you need to:
1. login to Adsense > Account Settings > Scroll down and find “Tax information” and click on “Update tax information“
2. Click on “Change your tax information“
